1. Agreement to Terms
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before accessing or using Modifyle (modifyle.com). By accessing our website, tools, dynamic link shorteners, or APIs, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all conditions, you must not use Modifyle.
2. What Modifyle Is
Modifyle provides browser-based and server-assisted utilities for PDF processing, image optimization, dynamic QR code creation, and short link analytics. Features are offered under a permanent free tier alongside paid subscriptions and usage credit packs as described on our Pricing Page.
3. Accounts & Authentication
- You must provide an authentic, valid email address when registering via Google or Apple OAuth.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your authentication sessions and devices.
- One account per person or organization; account sharing or credential cycling to bypass free-tier limitations is strictly prohibited.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that engage in link phishing, malware distribution, or infrastructure abuse.
4. Free Tools & File Processing Guarantees
Client-side tools (including PDF Merge, Split, Image-to-PDF, Watermark, Image Compress, Format Convert, and Static QR Generation) execute entirely within your browser runtime using WebAssembly. We never receive, view, or retain those files.
For credit-based server-side operations (such as high-compression Ghostscript processing), uploaded files are held solely for the automated duration of the conversion and are automatically deleted within 1 hour. You retain all intellectual property rights and full ownership of any content processed through our platform.
5. Credits, Subscriptions & Refunds
- Credits: Purchased credit packs are applied to heavy server conversions. Credits never expire and remain accessible on your account.
- Subscriptions: Subscriptions (e.g. QR & Links Pro) renew automatically on each periodic billing cycle until actively cancelled via your billing portal.
- Refund Policy: Credit purchases may be refunded within 14 days of purchase provided no credits from the pack have been consumed. Subscription payments are non-refundable for the current active billing cycle, but cancellation immediately halts any future renewals. Statutory consumer rights in your local jurisdiction (e.g. EU 14-day statutory cooling-off rights) remain fully respected.
6. Dynamic QR Codes & Short Links — Responsible Use
You are exclusively and legally responsible for the destination URLs, materials, and services routed through your dynamic QR codes and short links.
Prohibited Routing Categories
Under no circumstances may Modifyle links point to phishing schemes, malware or spyware payloads, credential-harvesting pages, unlawful or infringing content, or deceptive redirects.
We enforce automated security filters and manual administrative moderation. We reserve the absolute right to deactivate, without prior notice, any link or QR code identified as hazardous to internet safety or domain reputation.
Subscription Lifecycle: If your subscription lapses or expires, links in excess of the Free tier allowance (2 active links) will enter a paused state. Scanners will see a calm, neutral notification page without exposing personal account information until you reactivate or swap links in your dashboard.
7. Acceptable Use & Rate Limits
You agree not to attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, probe, or overload our edge redirect workers or processing containers. Free-tier users are subject to fair-use rate limits on dynamic link creation.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
Modifyle is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that file conversions will be error-free or that edge redirect uptime will be uninterrupted.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Modifyle and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from data loss, conversion inaccuracies, or business interruption arising from paused, expired, or deactivated dynamic links.
9. Termination
You may discontinue using the service and delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, with or without prior notice based on violation severity.
